Storyline

Their research leads Thomas and Imelda to discover the origin of the Blackwood curse. Centuries ago, a previous Lilith Blackwood had been murdered and cursed by a young woman named Selena from a village that would later become Hemlock Town. Selena had cursed the Blackwood line. The reason seemed to be in retaliation for Lilith's ancestor trying to persuade the villagers to leave what she believed was an evil and wicked place. Unknown to Imelda and Thomas, this original Lilith is the same Lilith they are now trying to protect. The curse has been following her through many reincarnations as she dwells in purgatory.

Lyrics

[Verse 1:]

In Hemlock's grasp, a village lies,

Where damned souls moan and darkness sighs.

Old Lilith, wise with silver crown,

Senses doom in night's deep frown.

[Chorus 1:]

From gnarled gloom, they leer and lurk,

In shadows where the terrors irk.

Does evil creep in wood or mind?

In Hemlock's grip, dark truths unwind.

[Verse 2:]

She calls to those in limbo's thrall,

"We'll break these chains, this spectral pall!

Through mist and murk, we'll carve our way,

From shadow's reign, we'll flee today."

[Chorus 2:]

From gnarled gloom, they leer and lurk,

In shadows where the terrors irk.

Does evil creep in wood or mind?

In Hemlock's grip, dark truths unwind.

[Verse 3:]

Young Selena, innocence feigned,

Hides ancient power, eons contained.

Her whispers weave a dread refrain,

"The forest claims, you strive in vain."

[Chorus 3:]

From gnarled gloom, they leer and lurk,

In shadows where the terrors irk.

Does evil creep in wood or mind?

In Hemlock's grip, dark truths unwind.

[Verse 4:]

Lilith's past, long etched in time,

Makes Selena doubt her climb.

"These souls must stay to contemplate,

In Hemlock's realm to expiate."

[Chorus 4:]

From gnarled gloom, they leer and lurk,

In shadows where the terrors irk.

Does evil creep in wood or mind?

In Hemlock's grip, dark truths unwind.

[Verse 5:]

No malice drives the spirit's hand,

But cosmic law's unyielding brand.

The damned must dwell where specters keen,

Their sins to haunt each fitful dream.

[Chorus 5:]

From gnarled gloom, they leer and lurk,

In shadows where the terrors irk.

Does evil creep in wood or mind?

In Hemlock's grip, dark truths unwind.

[Verse 6:]

A wail tears through the misty shroud,

Lilith falls, her spirit bowed.

Selena laughs, mask cast aside,

"Your leader's hope has withered, died!"

[Chorus 6:]

From gnarled gloom, they leer and lurk,

In shadows where the terrors irk.

Does evil creep in wood or mind?

In Hemlock's grip, dark truths unwind.

[Bridge:]

Hemlock Creek, with waters black,

Holds each soul, no turning back.

No flight from fate's eternal scale,

In purgatory's endless vale.

[Verse 7:]

Selena reigns, no child at all,

But ageless queen of Hemlock's thrall.

Unknown to all, she's pulled each string,

Making damned souls weep and cling.

[Chorus 7:]

From gnarled gloom, they leer and lurk,

In shadows where the terrors irk.

Does evil creep in wood or mind?

In Hemlock's grip, dark truths unwind.

[Outro:]

The village trapped in twilight's clasp,

Elder's dream now just a rasp.

In Hemlock's mist, time's river slows,

Where karmic debts forever grow.
